So the 2nd week of Easter hols started nice and peacefully with Rachel having a sleepover at grandmas house and not coming back till the afternoon.
However I made the most of the Rachel free time by forcing J to get on with decorating Jacks new bedroom! Despite Jack being under our feet we managed to get it all done.
On the Sunday we went to order Jacks carpet and then we went to Ikea and had lunch there whilst buying a few bits and pieces that I wanted!
Monday morning came - my first day back at work - and I was greeted by a sick little boy. He couldn't keep anything down so there was no chance of delivering him to Mandy. Fortunately J's job is soooo much better now and they immediately said he should come home to look after Jack so I could go to work having delivered Rachel to Mandy.
On Tuesday we had the boiler man come back to install a new boiler - yes the Friday visit had been a depressing one with no solution to the hearing problem to be found :-( So grandma came to take Rachel out of the way. Jack was still not well although not being sick anymore but very hot and fairly lifeless so we just Gilles out on the sofa all day while the boiler man got on with it.
In the evening I was working - although I was feeling fairly terrible myself and Rachel ended up coming home from Grandmas as she too got ill.
During the night Jack was sick again - all over me however I felt much better myself on the Wednesday. Wednesday was a long day as I was tired and Rachel was bored and wanting to go out but with Jack poorly we couldn't go anywhere.
Thursday we were supposed to be going to see cbeebies live as a family but J had to work and as Jack was still not himself I took Rachel and her friend Jess instead. We had a great time scoffing popcorn and sweets through the show and the girls were really good - especially afterwards when we had to spend 45 minutes queueing to get out of the car park! They loved seeing Mr Tumble the most and also the bit where Andy and Katy from cbeebies sang a song they had learned at school.
By Friday Jack was a lot better so I took them in to town and we went to the transport museum. They loved the cars and bikes although Jack kept climbing over the ropes to get to the display cars and didn't understand why he wasn't allowed to!
