So we landed at about 10.10pm UK time which is ten past midnight in Crete. We made it through passport control and all the luggage arrived. We got onto our bus and despite being told by the rep that the transfer would take around 40 minutes we arrived at the hotel after about 20 minutes.

We stayed here 2 years ago and I have a feeling that is the one and only holiday since having kids that was relatively successful! We were not quite as lucky with our room this year. 2 years ago our room was right beside the kids pool and we requested to have one here again but the closest they could get us was about half way up the steep hill that the hotel is built on.
After signing in, we were taken up to our room on the golf buggy and once we had given the kids some milk and settled them down we all headed to bed.
