Friday we decided to go down to Star Beach Waterpark and spend a be longer down there. As the shuttle bus does not run between 12 and 3 we settled on taking the 11am one down and then we would get the 3pm one back unless we desperately needed to come back sooner in which case we would have to get a taxi.
When we got down there, Rachel and I went straight in the pool whilst Jack ran around - still refusing to get in to the cold water! J then walked them over to the playground and realised that there was more to the Waterpark than we had ever discovered 2 years ago - in fact there were two more pools with kids water slides so we steadily moved along them. Then after quite a bit of cajoling we managed to get Jack to test the water and bit by bit he edged a little bit more in. He was still not completely thrilled by it but still at least he splashed a bit and walked around knee deep in it for a while. Because of the times we were there, we had lunch down there in one of their beachfront cafe/restaurant type places. Daddy and I had burgers whilst the kids shared a toastie and it was really quite nice! After lunch there was more splashing in the water then we headed up to the "big" hypermarket to buy some essentials - the nappies we hadn't purchased the day before - and then went to wait for the bus.
Once again, today we bumped in to the family that we have seen everywhere! They were in Burger King, on our flight, on our shuttle bus and finally in our hotel. The reason we initially struck up conversation was over the Doc Mcstuffins toys Rachel, Jack and their little girl Chloe had! Lambie and Stuffie providing us with the opportunity to actually speak to other people, whilst on holiday and actually make holiday friends (never achieved previously!)
Chloe is also 5 and in reception and she had been poorly since they arrived - tonsalitis. Of course, us having prior experience of the doctors and drugs here we were able to highly recommend Hersonissos' paediatrician!
By Friday night Chloe was starting to feel a bit better and wanted to go to the disco, so of course Rachel wanted to go back too. This time though, with Chloe their as her wingman she was actually brave enough to get up and dance.
