Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Daddy, happy birthday to you!
Today was j's 31st birthday! As he had had his presents early Rachel and I had pooped in to the shop and bought him a little bracelet so we had something to give him as a present on his actual birthday.
The kids were both up especially early so I attempted to keep them in the bedroom with me so he could doze for a bit longer. Of course, it didn't really work out too well!!
After breakfast we went to the big pool and discover that there were not many sunbeds left but found some by the side of the pool in the end. We saw our holiday friends here again too although Chloe could still not go into the water because of her poorliness. Rachel and I played in the water and Jack kept coming to test it, but was still refusing to get in. For some reason J had come down without any swimming shorts, so we sent him back to the room to change.
Because Chloe was going to kids club, Rachel decided she would go too. So whilst the birthday boy and Jack went for a rest I dropped Rach off at kids club. For the first half an hour I went back to lie by the pool, then I decided I would pop back over and make sure she was ok.
Carrie (Chloe's mum) had stayed outside kids club as she was worried how Cjloe would be, having been ill and also wanted to make sure that they were security conscious and proficient at the kids club.
So instead of returning back to the dunes - it was too got anyway! - I stayed and chatted to her for the rest of the time! About 10 minutes before it ended - and just as I decided I was desperate for a wee Rachel got soaked in the water games and being Rach she cried! She came out and had a cuddle before
Going back for revenge while I dashed off to the loo!!
We met them for dinner at 7 and all shared a big table. After dinner the girls went to the kids club cartoon heroes party, then Carrie and I watched Jack playing dodge the swing - no sense that boy - in the little playground, and the dads got installed at the bar for a beer. They had already arranged to watch the European football later that night - after kids bedtime - and J was really looking forward to that (of course, it's football after all, even if you are watching 2 German teams competing for the cup - and you're watching it with a Man U fan!)
Carrie, Jack and I went down to join them and had a drink there whilst the girls seemed to have a great time at the party.
By the time it finished Jack was exhausted and so J took him back to get him ready for bed whilst I collected Rachel and Paul got the beers in at the bar!
J rolled in not long after midnight and must have enjoyed himself as he said that Paul and he had been talking near the apartment for half an hour on their way back!
