Day 9 - bath day!!

Hurray!! Rachel slept through until 7ish I think. James got up with her again and I got to doze back off until about half 9. Brilliant!! Makes me dread Thursday even more when the days of both of us being here are over.....
Got up and dressed, had brekkie then spent some quality time glueing things with Rachel, while Jack did some swinging and James went up to try and get a rest. After a short time James came back down - too excited as it was transfer deadline day in the football world!!!

He sorted out some lunch with Rachel - pasta and beans, then we got her ready for playgroup. I took her to playgroup expecting her to be clingy as she has been recently, but after giving me a hug she walked off in on her own and I dashed out before she looked back. She said afterwards she didn't cry and for once I actually believe her!
While she was out we had lunch and then gave Jack his first bath. He did not enjoy it very much and cried the loudest we have heard him cry for the entire duration until we got him out and wrapped in the towel. He was certainly cleaner for it though - at least for a few minutes anyway!
James went to pick Rachel up and she came back armed with yet another picture for daddy. I must get her to start making me pictures too! When she got back she wanted to see the baby bath and took her one bathable baby up and gave her a bath!
Then uncle Luke came round just in time for rachel's tea. She had a bit off beef casserole - mainly ate the sweetcorn and carrots! - followed by 2 yoghurts and some grapes although I have to admit I ate some of those for her.
After tea she played for a while, riding horses with uncle Luke and daddy and then she got out
her tunnel and put all her toys in there, then convinced uncle Luke to go in the tunnel so emptied all the toys out again all over the floor.

Finally it was her bath time,so we got everything tidied up and took her up.
Jack is so much easier than she is, although nowhere near as amusing! She comes out with the funniest things but has so much energy we have no idea where she gets it from as neither of us
remembers ever having this much energy!
After her bath we got her ready for bed then she asked me to take her up to bed. Left Jack with daddy and Luke and thankfully she went to sleep quite quickly - done by just after 8, a lot earlier than last night, but can she make it 2 nights in a row???...
Had dinner then it was time to feed Jack again before getting him in to sleep suit ready for bed. He has been awake a lot more today in between feeds and naps, really looking around at things, so we will see if this means he will settle easier tonight. Not if he has his sisters energy!!!
