Wonder what tonight will bring!!
Jack has been his usual restless self from 1 till 6/7 ish.....
He has started being quite sicky as well. But he is putting on weight, doing plenty of wet and dirty nappies, so the midwife says he is probably just taking in too much milk and can't fit it all in. Wish he would remember this in the middle of the night instead of non stop chomping all night just to spit it all out again!
All too soon it was time to pick up Rachel and daddy was home for the evening. Interestingly she was definitely much worse behaved having both of us there. Had a lot of tantrums and after settling down to bed quite quickly she then woke herself up coughing and would not settle again and insisted on coming downstairs again. It was a long evening!!!
On Thursday, Jack and I got up to take rachel to mandy's as we needed to go to the clinic to get him weighed and then see the midwife to make up for the appointment we missed on Monday!
Jack now weighs 8lb1oz, so has put on another whopping 10oz over the last week. At least the non stop feasting is definitely still paying off!!
Saw the midwife briefly and she seemed very happy with how we were both doing. I mentioned jack's heat rash to her but she wasn't overly concerned. She was very pleased with how well my uterus had contracted and commented on my flat stomach. Am so smug this time round!!!
After we left there, we came home and had some brekkie and chilled out in front of the tv until daddy got up for work. Then I took Jack into work to see everyone there, not that there is as many peops there these days. Now becci and Emma have finished, there was only Steve, and Alexis and Cathy in as everyone else was off or on lates. Anyways Steve came and had cuddles with Jack for ages, completely monopolising him, so when Alexis finally got her turn, Jack decided he was hungry!! I fed him and then returned him to her, at which point he then pooed!!!we finally left after a couple of hours despite only intending to stop in for an hour!
So aft some lunch apwe only had a short time left for a nap before having to get Rachel.
She was really good for me this evening, ate her dinner well and went to bed like a dream at just after 8. Like I said at the beginning, this didn't last but still, at least I had a couple of hours peace and quiet with the 2 boys before she got up again!
Friday is the other day of the week, after Tuesdays, where I have to look after everyone by myself except for the 2 hours rach is at playgroup. Luckily daddy was on a late, so he got up with rach and Jack and I stayed in bed until half 9, when we got up to relieve daddy and let him have a sleep before work.
After I had had breakfast and fed Jack, Rachel and I baked some cakes. I think daddy was pretty impressed when he came down to see we had been baking. In fact I am pretty impressed too!
Then we played for a bit, got everyone dressed and fed and took Rachel to playgroup. Jack and I then chilled out for a bit, watched tv and had a little snooze before having to set off to pick her up again at 3.Again rachel has been really good for me this afternoon and evening. But she was in bed really early. I hope this doesn't mean she will be up really early as James is on brekkie tomorrow. At least she is off out with grandma and grandad tomorrow and I think she is staying there overnight too, so another relaxing evening is on the cards!!
Am now sitting watching reruns of er and looking at my little old man in his swing!
