Week 5 continued

Well it appears I have been quite slack and not posted anything in a week....
Catch up time...
On Thursday Jack and I went over to see Becci and Millie. It was a lovely day weatherise so the drive over was quite nice. Millie is a tiny dot compared to Jack who looked like a right chunky monkey next to her! Becci's house is lovely and her 2 dogs were so well behaved. We had a lovely morning there before coming home for a little rest.
As it was half term and therefore no playgroup Rachel went to grandma's on Friday, so Jack and I got another peaceful day. We had to take Ben to the vets for his boosters, but other than that we had a quiet day.
Saturday was also a peaceful day. Jack and I got up late then did some cleaning, went shopping and had a rest before Rachel came home, just in time for tea.
Sunday was quite a boring day too. Then monday we were back to normal. We took Rachel and Jack to toys r us in the morning then came home in time for playgroup. Luke came round while I was asleep in bed then him and James went to pick Rachel up before coming home via costco. For some reason my daughter loves it there!!
When they got back, James broke the news that he was going to have to go to work as one of his chefs had walked out!! And that he probably wouldn't be able to have Tuesday evening off. I was more upset about Tuesday as it would mean me being alone all day and evening with the kids!! That always fills me with dread!!
So I arranged for becci and Millie to come round. Also because Rachel really wanted to meet Millie and any other day she would have been out.
Monday evening was fine and Rachel went to bed nicely. Ben, Jack and I were watching Telly when daddy came home out of the blue. His chef had turned up again so he had been able to come home and was prob going to get Tuesday night off after all. Hooray!
Although he was more pleased than I was as he would get to watch the football!!
On tuesday then, becci and Millie came round, arriving a little later than they had said as becci had discovered how difficult it is with a baby to do anything on time as they tend to want to eat or poo just as you are on your way out of the door!! We had lunch and spent most of the rest of the time feeding babies. Rachel was very well behaved and helpful! She also had a lovely cuddle with Millie.
Daddy came home just as Rachel was trying to go to sleep. Unfortunately she was then overtired until bedtime and then wide awake when we wanted her to go to bed!
Having had a few good nights sleep, Tuesday night was a bad night. Luckily daddy was on a late so after he took Rachel to mandy's, he took jack downstairs and I got to stay in bed and catch up on my sleep.
The rest of the day was chilled out and rachel helped me to bath Jack. After his bath rachel had hers and she was in bed just after 8.
Jack had a little nap then of course as soon as we went up to bed Rachel woke up and came in to our room and after that I couldn't get to sleep. Then Jack woke up and was restless for the rest of the night until about 6!!so now we are shattered! Although not as shattered as I thought i would be. We will try and have a nap his afternoon before Rachel comes home!
