Well I have now become officially useless at keeping this blog up to date, although in my defence I don't want to repeat myself with all of the boring details of our lives!! I know, poor excuse!
Anyway, back to what has happened in the last week....
Well last weekend our normal weekend plans were disrupted when grandma's back gave out so she couldn't have Rachel overnight. They kindly took her out for a little while so I could have a little rest. And actually the rest of the day was not as bad as I expected. It also meant that we were all together for Sunday so we decided to make the most of it and go out for the day. First wwe went for lunch at the george and then we took Rachel to the butterfly farm in Stratford. It was quite good but expensive for what it is and Rachel soon became more interested in watching a baby being given it's bottle than the butterflies!
Unfortunately after such a lovely day out things went downhill, with both children going in to a mega meltdown for the rest of the evening!! Talk about tantrums, Rachel barely stopped until bedtime and as for Jack he wouldn't leave my boobs alone for hours without screaming the place down.good times.
However for all that pain, Rachel did actually sleep through the night - only the fourth time since Jack was born!!
On Monday becci and I took the kids in to work to see everybody. It was lovely to see them all, although I still do not miss the work!!! Had a good catch up with people we didn't see last time and had some lunch.
On Tuesday the weather was ok, so Rachel, Jack and I went out in to the garden and start to give it a real so ring clean. It really needed it as over the winter with the snow and generally miserable weather it had become quite disgusting what with Ben doing his business out there, plus all the leaves from those darned trees at the pub!
On Wednesday we all had to be up early as we were expecting the gas man to come and change our meter. But as it happened we waited all morning and they finally arrived at half 11!! I then spent the rest of the day wishing I was in bed!!
Thursday we all had to be up early again as Jack and I had a 9 o clock appointment to see the health visitor. 9 o clock!!!don't they know me at all.???!
Jack now weighs 10lb 5oz and has moved up a line on his growth chart so they were very pleased with that, as was I.nothing much else to report, they said he has a strong neck, that his scalp needs exfoliating as he has a touch of cradle cap and that he should see the doctor for his sticky eye. So on the way out we attempted to make a doctors appointment but the first we could get was in 2 weeks time! And we were booked in for the day after that anyway so we didn't bother....
