Week 6 cont.

Didn't even get a lie in on Friday as daddy was on breakfast and rachel decided to get up at 6.30!!not good!
As it was fine weather I took the kids to homebase and we got some bits and pieces for the garden. Then when we got back rach and I carried on sorting the garden, in between feeding Jack and getting ready for playgroup. At some point Ben threw himself down the stairs and we thought we had escaped without any injuries until he came downstairs a bit later and Rachel and I found a trail of blood droplets on the floor. On investigation we found he had cut the back of one leg and seemed to be limping on one of his front legs. As it turned out later he had also grazed and carpet burned the whole back of his other back leg, but that didn't show up for a while. Poor Ben Ben. He was feeling very sorry for himself. Anyway Rachel and I cleaned him up and after lunch she had playgroup.
The rest of the day was fairly uneventful.
Saturday we were back to normal. Daddy was on a late shift which was great as I got to stay in bed for a while. Grandma and grandad came to pick Rachel up and ended up staying for a while, so poor James didn't manage to get back to bed. At least we knew we would get a good nights sleep and lie in on Sunday!
Jack and I went to do some shopping in the afternoon. When we got back we had a phone call from a hysterical daughter. I finally managed to get her to tell me her knee was hurting. By the sounds of it she had fallen at the park and bumped it and as she is a total hypochondriac this meant she was screaming in supposed agony!!
To be fair she does seem to have a small graze and a fairly sizeable bruise on her knee but still you would have thought she had broken her leg or something the noise she was making.
Luckily she calmed down otherwise I have a feeling she would have been deposited back with me and I do enjoy my saturday evenings coping with just one child!! Does that make me sound like a terrible mother??? Probably , but it is quite difficult trying to get one child to calm down and settle in bed whilst the other is fussing and wanting to continuously be fed and there is only one of me most evenings.
Sunday we had a sort of lie in although we needed it as we had had a pretty bad night with Jack, fussing and crying and pooing and feeding.....
Grandma and grandad brought Rachel back along with a lovely lunch. Five minutes after they left in the afternoon, my mum and dad arrived to stay with us overnight.
